Unveiling ‘Garudan’: Suresh Gopi’s Legal Thriller Lands on Amazon Prime Video

The much-celebrated courtroom drama “Garudan,” featuring the powerhouse performances of Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon, has begun its exclusive OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Directed by debutant filmmaker Arun Varma and penned by acclaimed writer Midhun Manuel Thomas, the film initially graced the silver screens on November 3, captivating audiences and swiftly amassing over Rs 16 crores in just 21 days.

Garudan (translated as “The Eagle”) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by Arun Varma, marking his directorial debut. The movie boasts a stellar cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Thalaivasal Vijay, Dileesh Pothan, and more alongside the leads, Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon. Notably, this marks the final appearance of Kalabhavan Haneef.

The storyline follows DCP Harish Madhav (Suresh Gopi), an upright officer, investigating the sexual assault and demise of a college student named Theresa Philip, daughter of Colonel Philip George. The plot takes a riveting turn when the accused, Nishanth Kumar (Biju Menon), reappears as an advocate, initiating legal proceedings against Harish. As the tale unfolds, Harish meticulously uncovers Nishanth’s deceitful acts and fabrications, rekindling the case and unearthing the truth.

Set against a backdrop of legal entanglements, Garudan plunges viewers into an enthralling battle of wits and integrity between two formidable characters.
