Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Aadujeevitham Set for Worldwide Theatrical Release on April 10, 2024
Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much-anticipated film Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) has confirmed its global theatrical release date. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Blessy and produced by Visual Romance, the survival adventure is all set to hit screens worldwide on April 10, 2024.
Aadujeevitham, touted as a gripping tale based on a true story, features a stellar cast including Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul, KR Gokul, and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The film revolves around the compelling journey of Najeeb, essayed by Prithviraj, who migrates to the Middle East from the verdant shores of Kerala in pursuit of a better life. Based on Benyamin’s novel Aadujeevitham, the movie captures Najeeb’s transformation as he finds himself coerced into a life of hardship and servitude as a goatherd on a remote farm in Saudi Arabia.
Director Blessy expressed his enthusiasm for the film’s imminent release, citing its universal appeal rooted in authentic events. “The narrative style stays true to the real incidents depicted in the novel. The sheer magnitude of the storyline demands the grandeur of the theatre experience, and we’re thrilled to present this magnum opus to audiences worldwide,” Blessy stated.
The movie, shot against stunning backdrops, boasts music by the legendary AR Rahman and sound design by Resul Pookkutty. Cinematographer Sunil KS captures the visual essence, while editing is handled by A. Sreekar Prasad.
Aadujeevitham will be presented in theatres in multiple languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, ensuring its reach to diverse audiences.
The film’s production journey was arduous, starting its development in 2009 and facing numerous hurdles, including budget constraints and the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The crew, shooting in the deserts of Wadi Rum, Jordan, and Sahara, Algeria, faced a 70-day ordeal during the pandemic’s peak, eventually repatriated through India’s Vande Bharat Mission.
Principal photography, spanning from March 2018 to July 2022 across six schedules, was a testament to the team’s dedication. Shot in 3D, the film’s conclusion in July 2022 marked the end of an extensive filming process.
Aadujeevitham’s forthcoming release on April 10, 2024, marks the culmination of years of effort, promising an immersive and captivating cinematic experience for audiences globally.
